Michelle Luke, DDS, FAGD

Dr. Michelle Luke graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago Dental College in 2000. She then furthered her education by completing a one year General Practice Residency Program at the University of Texas-Houston. During the course of this intensive training program, she cared for dental patients with extensive medical conditions. Also, she was exposed to dental emergencies in both the hospital emergency room and the operating room. She believes the knowledge and experiences gained throughout this program provided her with an invaluable dental education.

In 2001, Dr. Luke moved back home to Illinois and joined Plum Grove Dental Associates. She enjoys being part of an established group practice and being able to provide quality dental care. Dr. Luke focuses on getting to know her patients and understanding their dental concerns. All treatment is customized for each patient and discussed in great detail to ensure comfort.

Dr. Luke regularly attends continuing education courses to learn the most recent advances in the dental field. She is a member of several professional organizations including: American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Chicago Dental Society, and the Illinois State Dental Association. With over 500 hours of continuing education, she is dedicated to providing the best dental care she can for her patients.

The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) awarded Dr. Luke with the Fellowship Award in August of 2006.  This is one of the most rigorous continuing dental education awards offered today.  The Fellowship Award is granted to dentists looking to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession.  In order to receive this honor, Dr. Luke completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive written exam and fulfilled three years continuing membership with the AGD.  As a recipient of this award, Dr. Luke has joined an elite group of 14,000 dentists worldwide.

In her free time Dr. Luke loves the outdoors. You might find her camping, hiking, catching a Cubs game, or taking her dog, Jessie, on a long walk. Traveling, photography, and interior design are also of great interest to her. The walls of her operatory are decorated with photos of her many journeys.
